Walkthrough

After watching the opening cutscene with Link and Skullkid, head into the tunnel he went in. Cut the grass if you wish. Jump up onto the platforms and through the way. Link will fall into a seemingly endless abyss until he ends up in a room with Skull Kid, 2 Fairies, and a strange pink flower. Skull Kid will curse you, turning you into a Deku Scrub. He and Tael (the purple fairy) will leave, but Tatl (the yellowish fairy) will accidentley be left behind with you.

Go through the door, into a room where you have to use Deku Flowers. For the record, stand on top of one, then press and hold A. Release A to spring up with some Flowers as parachutes! Deku flower-hop through the room (picking up the chest full of Deku Nuts if you wish) and along the way Tatl will teach you Z- (or L-) Targeting.

Go through the door (next to the Deku Statue) and go up the bridge. Talk to the freaky mask salesman and then go through the door. You will arrive in Clock Town.

When you get into town, go straight ahed to some stairs (A purple haired kid will be around there for a few minutes). Go up the stairs into the Laundry Pool. Ignore the kid if he's around. Hop over the water and pick up the fairy. Leave the laundry pool, and go back to the doors. Facing the doors, go leftish-up and then turn right until you find a small entrance. Enter it to go to North Clock Town.

In North Clock Town, turn left to a cave/entranceway past the boy and the balloon. Go up into the cave, and you will find out that it's a Fairy's Fountain. Since you already picked up the Stary Fairy, it will automatically be returned to the other fairies. The great fairy will appear O_O and give you the Bubble Blast Attack. She will also give you the Magic Meter.

Outside the Fairy Fountain, bubble blast the balloon (it has Majora's Mask on it). Then talk to the boy who was trying to break it (he has a red hat). He will challenge you to hide and seek.

If you see a boy like the kid who challenged you, bubble blast them and then run over and tag them. There are 2 in North Clock Town, 1 in West Clock Town, and 2 in East Clock Town. You will have to navigate yourself.

When you find them all, they will give you a secret code. Write it down for later in the game.

Go back to East Clock Town. Go up the stairs between the Inn and the Bar, and turn right at the Mayor's house. You will see an entranceway blocked by a Bomber kid with a yellow hat. Tell him the code, and he will let you in. Go right, hop across the water, then don't go on the path but hop to the shallow water. Bubble blast the balloon ahead, and go up the ladder.

In the next room, go up the winding staircase until you get to a pedestal with a Telescope on it. Talk to the scientist and he will ask you to look through the telescope. Say yes, and press A when you are in view of the top of the big Clock Tower.

After the cutscene, go out the nearby door and pick up the Moon's Tear. Press Start and select it with Y, Z, or X (or C <, ^, or >). Go back inside and exit the hideout the way you came.

Go back to South Clock Town. Go to the big Deku Flower, and talk to the Deku Scrub that flies onto it. Talk to him, and when it says "Press START blah blah blah..." Press the button the Moon's Tear is equipped to. This is an "item prompt" and you should remember that, you'll need it later on.

He will like the stone and take it. He will give you the Town Title Deed. The Deku Flower will be yours.

Deku-jump to the heart piece. Then I DON'T CARE HOW YOU DO IT, but wait until Night of the Third Day. Explore town! Have fun! WHATEVER!

On the Night of the Third Day, go back to where the Heart Piece was. At 12:00am game time, the door will open and you will be able to go through.

Bubble blast Skull Kid and pick up your Ocarina, which he drops. Then you will remember Princess Zelda teaching you the Song of Time.

Equip the Ocarina and play the Song of Time. Say yes and you will save and return to the Dawn of the First Day.

Go through the door back to the Freaky Mask Man. He will teach you the Song of Healing. You will turn back into Human Link and receive the Deku Mask. Then he will freak out and tell you the legend of Majora's Mask. Then go out of the freaky mask man's area. Tatl will then tell you to go to the south.
